Following graduation from Kindergarten, your child is ready to embark on his or her first formal years of education. Elementary school is the crucial foundation upon which your students’ future education will be built. FCA’s elementary classrooms provide a safe learning community where students work on more than just academics. They learn about Jesus Christ and have Bible study in the classrooms. They work on social interaction with classmates, take field trips into the community to sing and deliver holiday cards at nursing homes, learn about animals at the zoo and aquarium, attend theater productions and much more.
The transformation that occurs between first and fifth grades is truly remarkable and is not possible without a dedicated team of teachers working in concert with parents. Please work with us to encourage independent reading and to emphasize completing homework assignments. In elementary school, your child’s instruction will be both academically challenging, and developmentally appropriate. It will build on concepts learned in kindergarten and add skills necessary for middle school.
