About Faith Christian Academy

Faith Christian Academy (FCA) serves our local community by delivering a high quality Christian education. We strive daily to help our students grow intellectually, emotionally and spiritually.

FCA was founded in 2005 when the Pike County Homeschool Co-Op merged with Harvest Christian Academy. Our school ministers to Pre-K3 thru 12th grade. We are a college preparatory school. We also have programs in place to meet the needs of students who do not plan to go to college, gifted students, and those who require extra attention. Regular classes at FCA meet Monday through Thursday. In order to ensure the success of our students, Friday is reserved for field trips, tutoring, and make-up work.

The Academy operates as a non-profit ministry. We generate the revenue needed to operate FCA from tuition and generous sponsors who recognize the value of education as a key component in the future success of our students.

The Mission of Faith Christian Academy is to create an environment for each student to develop his/her full potential in all areas of growth and development academically, spiritually, socially, and physically. Striving for academic excellence and social responsibility, the academy is dedicated to being an educational resource and advocate for families based on clear biblical principles.

SPIRITUALLY – It is not the purpose of FCA to indoctrinate our students into a specific denomination. Because we hold the Scripture to be all-sufficient rules for faith and practice, we teach the Bible in its entirety. It is the purpose of FCA to train our students in the principles and practices of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please note that our faculty members represent a number of Christian denominations and fellowships. Individuals are not permitted to teach either personal or church doctrine. All members of our faculty are born again Christians who live a consistent example of our profession of faith. It is the purpose of FCA to develop in our students a spiritual life in harmony with the infallible Word of God. It is our prayer that with the guidance of FCA and their families, our students may grow in grace, as well as in the knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

ACADEMICALLY – It is the purpose of FCA to provide our students with a safe Christian environment, as well as an excellent education to prepare them for whatever future they may chose. Whether that choice is college, vocational or technical school, or entry into the workforce our students will be academically prepared to take that step with confidence.

SOCIALLY – The friendships our students develop at FCA will last a lifetime. We feel it is important to provide structured activities that will help students grow in the social graces. The activities available to our students teach them that strong Christian values are not just for Bible class; they are a way of life. It is our goal to provide events and activities that are age appropriate, positive experiences for our students.

We serve God who in His love and wisdom ministers to us as three persons; the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We commit to defending His Word, the Holy Bible, and living His Word both privately and publicly.

Humanity is flawed and sinful, but God wants to reconcile us back to Him. It cost Him everything to redeem us, so it is by His grace that we are saved and not our man-made rules or prideful works.

The Church is the Body of Christ (“Corpus Christi”). We are to be good stewards of this fellowship.

The Lord promises His return. It is imminent. We can neither hasten His coming nor delay it.
